These diapers sound great...it's surprising that conventional disposables are even allowed by law if there is an environmentally friendly version available. And, at $0.325 for one small refill and $0.40625 for a med/large refill, they're not outrageously expensive.
There are so many options available as far as cloth diapers go...it's a little crazy. I found a few good sites that seem helpful...this is one...have to definitely read through a lot of info!
When I ordered a veggie burger at Harvey's the other day, the lady asked me if I wanted cheese or bacon on it...bacon? on a veggie burger? Does anyone get bacon on their veggie burger??
On Wednesday, after the pronunciation portion of the exam, we had a little bit of free time for some fun, so played Taboo (the boardgame where you pick a card that has a word at the top followed by about five words; you have to get your team to say the word at the top by giving hints which can't include the five words). Anyhow, in Level 4, the word was "theatre" and the person giving hints said something like 'where you might go on a date'...after some students made a few normal guesses, one student shouted out really loudly and enthusiastically, "hotel!!" Ha ha ha. We'll never look at him quite the same! Hee hee.
This is a little much for me...amazing, for sure, but not something I find aesthetically appealing (esp. at around 1:00-1:15 which is approximately when I stopped watching)...or is it just me?
Ironically, it's hard not to feel like dancing when you listen to this song! Even though it's being and has been played a lot, I still like it. It probably helps that I don't listen to the radio much once I hear the traffic report, weather, and a bit of the news. :P
What shows are you looking forward to in the new fall TV season?
In addition to How I Met Your Mother, I could probably list other shows I'd enjoy watching (like Grey's Anatomy), but I've really cut down on my TV viewing...may watch LOST when it starts up again although that won't be till Feb. '08 reportedly.
Sarah, I'm thinking I won't get too much objection if I request this one... :D
Oh, I had a link to this site in another post, but I didn't really notice their recommendation concerning not inviting children:
"No Children" - How to Address this Situation
There really is no easy way to tell your guests that their beloved children are not invited. The most subtle approach is to spread the "no children" restriction by word of mouth. If you are looking for a more "formal" statement, here are two ways that avoid putting the bad news directly on the invitation:
On the reception card:
'Adult Reception'
or
On the response card:
Please respond on our before (Date)

Don't know if you want to be this subtle, Sarah, but thought the site does give some pretty good tips...they're kinda funny actually. So sly. Hee hee. This could actually be useful for other events too.
What gift from a parent do you remember the most?
Submitted by jorge456.
I'll always remember the gigantic box of Nancy Drew books...I'll never forget thinking, 'Wow, heavy boots' (if I remember correctly, they were packed in a boot box). Then, I opened the box (I think the lid lifted up) and saw Nancy Drew books everywhere! It was like hitting paydirt. :D
I also really loved the DVDs of old pictures and movies my mom made for me last Christmas. I imagine that must have taken a lot of time and effort...also, it was really nice to see pictures & movies from that time in my life. That was a true priceless gift.
Ha ha, yeah, more! I also remember my first desk...now I can't quite remember how I was led to it...was it through clues (my mom was always quite creative with that) or through the old, "D, come on up here and clean this mess!"? (As if I was ever messy!)
And my first bike...shiny & red...it was waiting around the corner in the kitchen. I think I was pretty small...I can't remember the details well, but I remember the feeling.
I could probably go on, but what I can surmise from all this is that the best gifts are ones that show how well someone knows you and/or how well they listen. The surprise element was always the icing on the cake! Who doesn't love a great surprise?
Well, the book in my library is the one I own...the ones under "amazon recommends" are just advertisements I guess.... read more
